SU Sportz helps churches build relationships with children through sports.
Since 2005 SU Sportz has organized many outreach events including: week-long day and overnight summer camps, sports clinics, hockey leagues and public school assemblies.

Our main goal is to help churches build their own sports outreach programs. When churches reach out to the children in the community young lives are changed. Since children love to play and have fun, sports is a natural way to reach out to them with the love of Christ.

SU Sportz camps/leagues seek to inspire young people to become complete athletes. We define a complete athlete as someone who is balanced physically, socially, mentally and spiritually.

Meet SU Sportz Director, Bob Johnston…

Bob grew up in Toronto and followed his athletic dreams into the New York Yankee farm system, where he played third base.

After injury ended his career he worked for Bell Canada for 21 years before joining Athletes in Action, where he served as Eastern Canada Director from 1995-2005.

He has coached many high-level baseball and hockey teams and is currently an assistant coach with the Durham College men’s baseball team.

Bob’s passion is equipping churches to reach children and their families through sports, so that the good news of Jesus is shared and the hungry are invited to follow Christ.
